2027 Abstract - JASMINE RICE PRODUCTION IN THE UNITED STATES: The acreage planted to jasmine varieties in the southern United States was at a historical high in 2026. This presentation will discuss what led to the increase in acreage, the advantages/disadvantages of producing jasmine, current varieties, and potential future varieties. A historical review of jasmine importation into the U.S. will also be presented.
