2026 Abstract - BASICS OF RICE IPM AND RICE DELPHACID UPDATE: Many insect pests can cause yield loss in rice, however there are some basic steps growers can take to help minimize or reduce the effects from insect feeding. Thresholds, cultural and chemical control tactics, as well as application timings will be discussed. Further, rice delphacid was documented in Arkansas and Louisiana late in the 2025 growing season. An update on management strategies and what the future of pest management could look like with rice delphacid in the system.
