2027 Abstract - RICE QUALITY: MANAGING THINGS WE CAN CONTROL: Rice quality, specifically rice milling, has begun to emerge from the back seat as a key priority for the Arkansas rice industry. The last three years of milling yields in particular have led to deep concern for the future of the industry. In this session, we will explore what factors affect rice milling yield and which of those we can actually control, both directly and indirectly. In addition, we will touch on growing jasmine rice for specialty markets.
