Alex Clark
Missouri Farmer|Chairman/US Rice Producers Association
OPENING GENERAL SESSION: Alex Clark was elected as Chairman of the US Rice Producers Association in July 2021 at the USRPA Board of Directors meeting, after serving two years as Vice-Chairman of the organization. Clark is a proud third-generation rice farmer in Butler County, Missouri. Although he has been farming on his own since he graduated college in 2007, he has been involved with farming his entire life, learning alongside his father, uncle and brother. His grandparents, Jimmy and Marian Clark, moved to Missouri from Arkansas, where they farmed as well, but the family didn’t get involved with rice until the mid ‘70s. Clark has traveled to Washington, D.C. to speak with U.S. Congressmen and Senators on legislative issues on behalf of both Missouri and U.S. rice farmers. He has also traveled on several international trade missions to promote U.S. grown rice and help establish new markets. His wife, Kathryn Clark, is an Agriculture Instructor at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, and they have two children, Luke and Max.
