2026 Abstract - HITTING THE TARGET: HOW EVOLVING SPRAY DRONE TECHNOLOGIES ARE STACKING UP AGAINST TRADITIONAL APPLICATION METHODS: Interest in spray drone systems has surged exponentially in the Midsouth recently, with increasing adoption among both private and commercial applicators. Both successes and challenges are widely discussed in conversations and on social media. This session will present findings from recent RPAAS trials, comparing spray drones to traditional application methods. We will explore application uniformity, canopy penetration, product efficacy, and off-target movement, drawing insights from field trials and multiple platforms evaluated.
