2025 Abstract - LESSONS LEARNED FROM PRACTICING REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE ON 5,500 ACRES IN THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA: Vayda is a tech-powered services company taking a regionalized approach to advancing regenerative agriculture in the Mississippi Delta. Its agronomic services are grounded in on-farm trials conducted on the company’s 5,500-acre pilot farms in Mississippi and Arkansas. In this session, we will present case studies highlighting the findings. We will talk about nitrogen management in cover cropping systems, focusing on topics like sensor-based fertilizer management, predicting nutrient contributions from cover crops, and relating nitrogen response curves to soil health metrics. We will also address the influence of cover cropping on corn and soybean productivity, weed suppression, and soil fertility.
