2025 Abstract - COVER CROPS ON OUR FARM: WHERE WE HAVE BEEN AND WHERE WE WANT TO GO: Cover crops offer significant potential for improving the long-term sustainability and profitability of cotton farming in the Mid-South. As research continues to optimize cover crop strategies for the region and as incentives and market opportunities grow, the adoption of cover crops in cotton farming is likely to increase. With proper management, they can reduce input costs, enhance soil health, and contribute to a more regenerative agricultural system. The producers in this round table discussion will share the benefits, challenges, and future directions for the adoption of cover crops on their farm.
