2025 Abstract - IMPACT OF PLANTING DATE ON SOYBEAN PRODUCTION: Over the past decade, soybean planting dates have shifted to earlier dates in the season. Growers adopting this shift have seen multiple advantages with respect to production and management. Multiple studies have been conducted at the University of Missouri Fisher Delta REEC to determine soybean response to planting date and maturity group selection. Results indicate that optimum planting dates for the northern region of the delta are likely earlier than expected with significant yield losses occurring with only slight delays in planting date.
