2026 Abstract - OBSERVATIONS AND EXPERIENCES WITH COTTON JASSID IN SOUTHEASTERN US COTTON: This presentation will provide an overview of invasive the two-spot cotton leaf hopper, or cotton jassid, which rapidly infested and established at treatable levels across Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina during the 2025 growing season. In addition to presenting identification of adult cotton jassid and injury symptoms, this presentation will discuss learnings from on-farm trials and observations from across the southeast. While there is much to learn for 2026, many observations have been made that will guide management recommendations in 2026.
